Michigan Collection: Heart Michigan - Wild Rose on White Porcelain
Handcrafted Michigan porcelain ornament featuring a design inspired by Michigan, in Michigan Rose on a white porcelain body.
Michigan is a place that’s easy to fall in love with. From quiet mornings on a lakeside dock to the wild roses that bloom along country roads and sandy shorelines in early summer, there is so much here to love. For many of us, no matter where we end up, Michigan will always feel like home.
When I think of Michigan, I think of how much people love this state, whether they’ve lived here their whole lives or moved away years ago. With Michigan Wild Rose, I wanted to keep the design simple and let that feeling speak for itself. To do so, I outlined both the Lower and Upper Peninsulas in raised relief and finished the ornament in a pink crystalline glaze inspired by the petals of Michigan’s wild roses. As a final nod to the piece's theme, I added a small art deco styled heart next to “Michigan” on the back.
Because each ornament is finished and glazed by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike. You may notice slight variations in color, texture, or small imperfections. These details are part of the handmade process and reflect the human craftsmanship that makes each ornament truly one of a kind.
