Hi. My name is Ryan Balazs, and I’m a ceramic artist based in Southeast Michigan. I create both functional and decorative ceramics inspired by the Art Deco and Arts and Crafts movements. My work is often distinguished by vibrant colors, etched patterns, and expressive ceramic forms.

In my studio practice, I blend modern technologies such as 3D printing and infrared fiber lasers with traditional ceramic techniques like porcelain slip casting. I’ve been exploring the world of ceramics since high school, and over the past few years, I’ve been fortunate enough to dedicate more of my time and energy to the craft.

In 2025, I launched Cardinalis Ceramics as a way to share and sell my handcrafted work. My goal is to release new pieces in small batches every couple of months, allowing me to focus on experimenting with different mediums and techniques.
